Attorneys representing Darrelle Revis responded to a video released by TMZ that purportedly was taped in the aftermath of the incident that resulted in four felony charges against the embattled New York Jets cornerback, issuing a statement late Sunday night that suggests the video will help clear their client.
TMZ Sports obtained video reportedly from a Feb. 12 incident involving New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis that is the aftermath of an assault.
In the video, a man off-camera is standing over two unconscious men saying, “I knocked both of these motherf***ers out. Both of them. They [are] both sleeping. Shut up before I knock your a** out next.”
The 11-second video shows two men on the ground, apparently unconscious, while a voice is heard saying, "I knocked both of these (expletive) out," before threatening to do likewise to another person. Revis is not seen on the video.
Revis allegedly physically assaulted the two men during an altercation on the south side of Pittsburgh in the wee hours of the morning on Feb. 12. He faces a preliminary hearing on Thursday after turning himself in to authorities on Friday, when he was released on a non-cash bond.
